The International Real Estate Federation, Nigeria chapter, welcomed real estate experts and members to a seminar on the challenges of house planning and development at the Golden Estate Restaurant Ikoyi, Lagos today the 29^th April, 2014.

The event tagged as “Challenges of Planning approval and its effects on Housing Development in Nigeria”, had as its special guest of honour, Mr Flavio Gonzaga Nunes of brazil – World president of the International Real Estate Federation, who was making his second visit to Nigeria in a space of a year.

Chief speaker at the event TPL Olutoyin Adedamola Ayinde, the honourable commissioner for physical planning and Urban Development, was in hand to discuss about the challenges Nigeria have faced over the years on the approval of house planning & development and steps that are being taken by the government to improve the sector.

Other speakers at the events Mr Yemi Idowu – Chairman Aircom Nigeria Limited  and  Mr TPL Victor O. Emdin of Mepas and prodel Nigeria Limited also shared their opinions on what measure that could be taken to maintain a standard housing structure and policy.

Notable guests at the event includes; Chief Kola Akomolede – President of FIABCI Nigeria, Ms Ruth Obi – CEO, 3invest Nigeria Limited and a list of top real estate experts in Nigeria.

The seminar which kick-started at about 11am, was also an interactive sessions with members of the house as questions were directed to the speakers at the end. The event which is part of a 3 day programme set aside by the FIABCI group was initiated by organizers to welcome the world president Mr Nunes and to tackle the issues affecting housing planning and development.
